Cabo Da Roca: where the land ends and the sea begins
Cabo Da Roca is one of the most amazing places to visit while in Portugal! It is about 18 Km from Sintra and 40 Km from the capital Lisbon.
It is known to be the “westernmost” point of mainland Europe, Where the land ends and the sea begins!
For a long time, the cliffs of Cabo de Roca were believed to be the edge of the world up until the late 14th century.
The area of Cabo Da Roca is very isolated. There you can find a lighthouse, a coffee shop, and a gift shop. The natural landscapes all around it are breathtaking and they are worth the time spent there!
You can reach Cabo Da Roca from Sintra by bus. It takes approximately 40 minutes and the ticket costs 4 Euros.
You can also take a half day or a full day tour from Lisbon and there will surely be a stop at Cabo Da Roca as it is a must visit!
Once you are there, do not forget to ask for your certificate! They deliver a certificate with your name on it saying that you reached the far edge of the European continent! Worth the trip right?!
